This phenomenon is known as “decentralized finance (DeFi) risk,” where investors become exposed to potential losses when smart contracts are flawed or manipulated. To mitigate this risk, some exchanges have implemented robust security measures, such as whitelisting and decentralized governance models, to ensure that validators nodes operate within established parameters.

As the blockchain landscape continues to evolve, it is essential for developers, investors, and regulators to remain vigilant about these risks and take proactive steps to protect themselves.
